Additional Activities
• Upon successfully filling your tag, you may want to hunt a second bear.
• While waiting for others in your party to be successful you are encouraged to enjoy the rest of your stay however you see fit.
• We have rental canoes/kayaks and gear for day runs on the Upsalquitch and Restigouche rivers (your take out point is a five minute walk to the lodge).
• We encourage hunters to bring their ATV’s or E-bikes. Northern NB has a copious amount of beautiful terrain to navigate
• The Sentier NB Trail system crosses the Upsalquitch River handy to your accommodations. This section is an old decommissioned steam engine line piercing picturesque mountains with approximately sixteen bridges criss-crossing Grog Brook.
• ATV trail passes are available for purchase
• With your NB Outdoors Card you can purchase an online fishing licence (printer on site to print your licence).
• Outdoor gazebo/picnic area with 6ft. fire pit to enjoy our Northern Evenings and Nights unpolluted by noise and lights
• Miles of undisturbed old forest hiking
(bear spray available if desired)
• Spaces may be available for non-hunters (fee applies)
• Hiking Squaw Cap or Sugarloaf Mountain
• Mountain biking at Sugarloaf Bike Park
(lift access and E-bikes are allowed)
• Visit the Battle Of the Restigouche Natural Historical Site (The last naval battle between France and Great Britain for possession of North American Territory [1760])
